Operational Highlights Oxy is the leading producer of oil in the Permian Basin of southwest Texas and southeast New Mexico, one of the largest and most active oil basins in the United States. Oxy's Permian Basin operations include interests in six of the 20 largest U.S. oil and gas fields and account for approximately one-third of the company's worldwide net production. Investor News In 2007, Oxy achieved record net income of $5.4 billion, compared with $4.2 billion for 2006. In 2007, diluted earnings per share were $6.44 compared to $4.87 in 2006.
