The distinction between Straight Sided jars and Widemouth Plastic Jars is found on the interior of the jar. Widemouth Jars have a slight ridge at the neck of the jar so that when the cap is applied to the jar it is vertically flush with the exterior of the jar. Widemouth plastic jars are stocked in sizes ranging from 16oz to 32oz. Straight Sided plastic jars have an opening which is the same diameter as the main body of the jar.
